IdahoNews.com: Fork, ALAVITA partner with Ronald McDonald house to feed families with an NICU child

By CBS2 News Staff, IdahoNews.com

Fork and ALAVITA have partnered with the Ronald McDonald House to feed families with a child in NICU or the pediatric unit.

The Ronald McDonald House has had to stop using volunteers due to the coronavirus pandemic, yet they are still helping feed families and provide about 50 meals per day.

Organized by Lauren and Nick Flores, Meals To Unite has partnered with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho to help feed the parents with a child in the NICU or pediatric unit.

The Flores’ have since selected Fork and ALAVITA to help fulfill these needs.

“We feel grateful to our friends Lauren & Nick for including us in their ‘initiative for good’ by helping those most in need in our community. The Ronald McDonald House does such important work. Due to the current climate, they’re unable to have volunteers and are especially in need of assistance. It is vital we all work together to keep that going,” said Cameron and Amanda Lumsden, owners of Fork and ALAVITA.

To make a donation, you can visit the MEALS TO UNITE GoFundMe Page and help support feeding those in need in our community. For every meal that is delivered, Fork and ALAVITA will donate 10% of proceeds to a non-profit organization tailored to benefit community members in need.
